At the beginning of 2016, we noticed that among our acquaintances there are handmade craftsmen who sold some of their products and donated funds to charity, namely to the treatment of children with cancer. Sometimes it was timed to some events or holidays, sometimes just like that, and that’s when the idea arose to unite everyone in the art project “Creating to live”.
It is a fair where various products and services of handmade craftsmen and women are sold. Among them are soft toys, magnets, candles, sweets, aqua grime, balloon crafts, hair ornaments, paintings, wicker baskets, candy bouquets and much, much more. All funds collected from the fair go towards the purchase of medicines and consumables needed during treatment.
But the goal of creating an art project was not only to attract funds. We also wanted to use it to spread information about cancer patients, about young patients who are forced to fight for their lives, about their needs, about the fact that everyone can help, because millions are not needed for this. To extend a helping hand, all you need is a desire and a little time.
At first, fairs were held several times a year, but over time it became extremely difficult to hold them. One of these obstacles was the Covid-19 virus, which locked people from all over the world in their own homes, and completely isolated children with oncohematological diseases from the outside world. Of course, over time, our team plans to give the “Create to Live” art project a second lease of life and restore its vitality. So, if you are able to join and take part in it as a craftsman or volunteer, fill out a short questionnaire or contact us in any convenient way: via email, social networks, or by phone.
We will be glad to meet you!
