The life of relatives, who have children being treated for oncological diseases, is always associated with certain difficulties and challenges. After all, supporting small patients in their struggle requires a lot of love and care, and this requires energy, effort and time, which are not always enough.
In this difficult period, every moment counts, and help can come from many sources. The delivery of biological materials for further testing from Chernihiv to Kyiv is one of the most important aspects of our assistance.
Evum has taken on this responsibility and helps with the delivery of children’s tests to specialized medical facilities in Kyiv. We cooperate with laboratories to ensure fast and reliable transportation of the required biological materials for testing. Often, such deliveries are carried out directly by our volunteers. Safety and convenience for children and their parents is an important part of our initiative.
Organizations, such as Okhmatdyt Children’s Hospital, and private medical laboratories play a key role in diagnosing and monitoring the health of young patients. For parents of children undergoing treatment, quickly covering a distance of more than 150 km between cities to deliver tests can be an extremely difficult task.
Parents who travel using public transportation can put their immunodeficient children at risk. Thus, parents or guardians, who have direct contact with sick people, can be carriers of a virus or an infection and then pass it on to their children without even knowing it.
In addition, many parents are unable to leave their child to deliver the samples personally, as they need to be nearby and constantly provide the necessary care and support to small patients. That is why our volunteers decided to help.
For some, the public transportation bus may seem like a convenient option, but for the parents of cancer patients, it can be extremely dangerous. With their weakened immunity, there is a risk of exposure to viruses and bacteria that can be transferred while interacting with people in public transportation.
Such children need special protection from external factors, therefore, the refusal of public transportation in favor of a safe and reliable delivery of biological material by private transportation is the most suitable solution.
Because of this Evum initiative, the donations of caring people, and the time of our volunteers, parents can be sure that their children receive the necessary medical care without worrying about transporting the samples for testing. The delivery of biological materials became not only a practical solution, but also an important step in ensuring the safety of children undergoing complex treatment.
