The Evum team has been cooperating and helping the St. Nicholas Hospital in Lviv for quite a long time, in particular, with sponsorship funds. We purchase medication and medical equipment for the Oncology Department, where children are treated and rehabilitated.
Recently, an interesting story happened with us, which once again proved that it is quite easy to do good deeds. If there is a noble goal, then the Universe will always help realize it.
A Child’s Ordinary Desire Started a Chain of Good Deeds
In the Oncology Department of the St. Nicholas Hospital in Lviv, a girl called Daryna was being treated after a relapse. When we talked to her, we asked about her preferences and wishes. It turned out that Daryna likes McDonald’s and has not visited it for a long time, so she had a dream, a small wish – to eat a burger and fries from McDonald’s.
Having heard this girl’s sincere desire, we began to look for an opportunity to do this not only for Daryna, but also for all children in the Oncology Department of the St. Nicholas Hospital in Lviv and also for children in the Hematology Department of the Chernihiv Regional Children’s Hospital. And this was just the beginning.
Darinka’s story became like a magnet that attracted a whole chain of interesting events. This story is about how one simple act of kindness expanded the number of happy moments in the lives of many children that are going through hardships.
The Happy Meal Brought Joy to Many Children
During our communication with the management of McDonald’s, they agreed to provide free Happy Meals for children undergoing treatment.
At first glance, it may seem like a simple matter – to buy food in a restaurant, but for the children who are being treated for serious diseases, it is really a happy moment in life, a moment of joy and happiness. This became an additional source of joy and positivity for young patients.
Young patients quite often do not have the opportunity to visit a restaurant with their parents and eat their favorite dishes, so McDonald’s visited them independently and gave them some moments of joy. After receiving their Happy Meals, the children channeled their happiness discussing this small but very meaningful gift and they were very happy.
Hoping for a Speedy Recovery
Darinka’s story is an example of how a seemingly child’s insignificant desire can turn into a great opportunity to help others.
Even a small good deed can be of great importance to whom it is addressed and for whom it brings sincere happiness. The main thing is not to stop there and continue to spread joy and hope, even in difficult times.
This story is a reminder that kindness is always more than just a simple act. It creates a chain reaction that makes the world a better place for all of us. Therefore, we wish and hope for the recovery of Darinka and all the other children undergoing treatment and rehabilitation from serious diseases!
