We want to share our festive mood and joy with you!
Finally, thanks to the efforts of our sponsors and partners, friends, and volunteer team, the Day Inpatient in the hematology department of Chernihiv Regional Children’s Hospital has opened its doors to young patients.
For us, as well as for the children and their parents, this means a great deal.
The Day Hospital will now be able to separate inpatients from those who visit the hospital for one-time procedures: IV drips, treatment adjustments, tests, and consultations. This is extremely important for the work of such a department, where children with cancer are treated, as it provides additional protection for young patients from infections coming from the outside world.
The opening of the Day Hospital in the hematology department became possible thanks to our friends and partners who provided primarily financial and other types of support to our team to bring this ambitious charitable project to life. In particular, we would like to thank:
- Lions Club Montigny (a French non-profit organization) and Ukainische Gemeinde Giessen e.V., thanks to whom we were able to purchase furniture for the day hospital, buy cleaning supplies for a year, an air conditioner, treatment couches, privacy screens, and chairs for parents;
- UKSH and Rotary Kiel — our friends and partners from Germany — for responding to our request for help and purchasing a medical refrigerator, infusion pumps, and infusion stands for the Day Hospital.
- Olena Hryhorivna Puzan and the company LLC “Zhytlobudservice” for the large TV with mounting, where children will watch cartoons, and the sink for medical staff to wash hands and prepare for medical procedures.
- Iryna Ternopilska for creating bright drawings with superheroes on the walls of the Day Hospital — they inspire, support, and create a good mood for our young patients.
- All our volunteers and the team of caring people who participated in the renovation and furnishing of the Day Hospital.
It is worth noting that these are not just chairs, infusion pumps, a TV, and many other things — this is real help from caring people who really want children to have the best possible conditions for treatment. And this is a true manifestation of Love for them.
